Part Part Whole is one of many maths problem solving strategies used with young students. The strategy allows students to explore the relationship between numbers - seeing the parts of a whole in both addition and subtraction.
The part part whole strategy is one of the building blocks for problem solving and these activity sheets allow students to manipulate concrete items by cutting and pasting the parts to make a whole. Higher level sheets allow student to make representations of the whole and their parts with drawing and each maths problem is given in the form of a short real world story.
